We will be engaging Casey Plett’s book ‘On Community’ from the Field Notes Series. Plett, a trans Canadian author from Windsor, Ontario, writes of her experiences growing up Mennonite, coming out as transgender, and how both informed her understanding of community.

We will be engaging Casey Plett’s book ‘On Community’ from the Field Notes Series. Plett, a trans Canadian author from Windsor, Ontario, writes of her experiences growing up Mennonite, coming out as
transgender, and how both informed her understanding of community. She wonders what we mean when we say that we are “a part of a community?” Drawing on a wide range of experiences, Plett’s book starts the conversation as we form bonds within our communities and how we will grow together.
